14th New Generation of Strongly Correlated Electron System (NGSCES) conference
30 September 2024 - 04 October 2024
Platja d'Aro, Costa Brava, Spain
NGSCES aims to bring together cutting-edge ideas, trends and opportunities in the investigation of correlated systems and material science, with input from both theory and experiment. A defining aspect of the NGSCES conference series is the emphasis it places on bringing together young scientists at an early stage in their careers, with the aim of promoting discussion and collaborations in a friendly and inclusive environment. For this purpose, the program of the conference will include pedagogical talks given by our invited speakers as well as many oral and poster presentations chosen among the contributed abstracts.
The abstract submission is now open HERE . We especially invite early-stage researchers to contribute to the program.
This year, we will focus on:
- Novel (correlated) quantum phenomena
- Correlated 2D materials, their heterostructures, and devices
- Ultrafast dynamics of correlated and cooperative systems
- Interplay of topology with magnetism, superconductivity and/or charge order
Confirmed invited speakers:
- Dima Afanasiev, Radboud University
- Anna Galler, Graz University of Technology
- Maëlle Kapfer, Columbia University
- Kota Katsumi, New York University
- Jose Lado, Aalto University
