ICN2 hosts the HINT COST Action event “Biomedical, Health and Bio-Related applications of Hybrid Materials”
HINT (Rational Design of Hybrid Interfaces) is a Research Network, funded by the European COST programme. On June 8-9 it will hold at ICN2 a workshop, coordinated by Dr. Fernando Novio (ICN2) and Dr. Anna Laromaine (ICMAB-CSIC), to promote exchanges between chemists, physicists, biologists and engineers on the most recent achievements in hybrid materials with bio-applications. Hybrid organic-inorganic (HOI) materials synthesized using soft inorganic chemistry allow a combination of organic and inorganic units at molecular/nanoscale level. These materials open access to a wide spectrum of multifunctionality not possible with traditional concepts of materials science. HINT (Rational Design of Hybrid Interfaces) is a Research Network, funded by the European COST programme, which will carry out detailed investigations of the design, control, and dynamics of HOI interfaces. On June 8-9 it will hold at ICN2 a workshop on “Biomedical, Health and Bio-Related applications of Hybrid Materials”, coordinated by Dr. Fernando Novio (ICN2, Nanostructured Functional Materials Group) and Dr. Anna Laromaine (ICMAB-CSIC).
The scientific workshop is aimed to promote exchanges between chemists, physicists, biologists and engineers on the most recent achievements in hybrid materials with bio-applications. The scientific programme includes invited lectures, oral contributions and posters. This COST MP1202 meeting is an opportunity to reinforce complementary investigations of the design, control, and dynamics of hybrid organic-inorganic interfaces focusing on fundamental science and applied research in the field of medicine, environment and health.
