Announcing the ICN2 Severo Ochoa International Conference

The ICN2 is pleased to announce the ICN2 Severo Ochoa International Conference. On 15 and 16 February, in-house research leaders will share the stage with prominent international scientists to recap the latest advances in nanoscience and nanotechnology. In celebration of the final chapter of the ICN2 Severo Ochoa Programme, the event will take place at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.

The ICN2 began its Severo Ochoa journey in 2014. Under the umbrella of this state-backed programme to recognise and support those Spanish centres producing research of an international standard, it has made great strides in the generation of new knowledge, materials and devices at the nanoscale. It has also redoubled its efforts in taking technologies out of the lab and into the world, where they are contributing to the creation of a more sustainable society. To mark the culmination of four years of hard science, hard collaboration and hard work, the institute has organised an international event to be held at the emblematic Palau de la Música in Barcelona.

Taking place on 15 and 16 February, the ICN2 Severo Ochoa International Conference aims to provide a snapshot of current developments in nanoscience and nanotechnology, from biosensing and biomedicine to energy harvesting and energy storage, passing through advances in information and communication technologies. Prominent international scientists will be sharing their views and bringing us up-to-date, alongside some of the ICN2’s very own research leaders.

The event promises to be an enjoyable recap of achievements so far, with nods to those to come and those yet to even be imagined.

This is the most up-to-date version of the Severo Ochoa programme.
