Solaristor research featured in the MRS Bulletin

An ICN2 paper reporting a novel concept in transistor technology published in Advanced Functional Materials features in this month's MRS Bulletin.

Back in March, Dr. Amador Pérez-Tomás, a Severo Ochoa senior researchers who splits his time between the ICN2 Nanostructured Materials for Photovoltaic Energy Group led by CSIC scientist Dr. Mónica Lira-Cantú and the ICN2 Oxide Nanophysics Group led by ICREA Prof. Gustau Catalán, coined the term "solaristor" to describe a novel transistor technology that combined the best of solar cells and the best of transistors into a single device the size of a biological cell.

This month the work, published in Advanced Functional Materials with the title "A solar transistor and photoferroelectric memory", is featured in the MRS Bulletin, a widely recognised and respected publication in materials research. See the review here.
