Irisi Daka receives the Baxter Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement
She is a Fellowship Degree Student coming from Queen Mary University of London. She is now carrying out her research at the Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors Group, led by ICREA Prof. Arben Merkoçi.
Irisi Daka is a Fellowship Degree Student coming from Queen Mary University of London, where she is studying Biomaterials for Biomedical Sciences. The University awarded her the Baxter Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement, an award sponsored by Baxter Healthcare that is given to the student obtaining the highest grades in their degree for the previous academic year.
Irisi Daka is now undertaking several projects in the Nanobioelectronics and Biosensors Group, led by ICREA Prof. Arben Merkoçi. In particular, she is working on a biosensor to detect anti-FLAG antibodies for HIV and syphilis and writing a review article about the impact of nanotechnology on serology.
