Open access to the EU COVID-19 research results

by Virginia Greco

The ICN2 has signed the European Commission Manifesto for maximizing the accessibility of research results in the fight against COVID-19.

The European Commission has launched a Manifesto to guarantee that the results of research related to the Covid-19 disease will be promptly accessible to the scientific community. Specifically, the Manifesto provides guiding principles for beneficiaries of EU research grants for coronavirus prevention, testing, treatment and vaccination.

The ICN2 has signed this Manifesto, whose indications are indeed perfectly in line with the Open Science policies that our Institute follows and supports. As a consequence, the outcomes of the research on COVID-19 conducted at the ICN2, be them in the form of published papers or data, will be made public without delay, by sharing them on the relevant platforms and repositories.
