Prof. Laura Lechuga receives the International Foundation Olof Palme Medal

The award was celebrated at the Saló de Cent of the Ajuntament de Barcelona (Barcelona City Hall). Different personalities of the national Health system were also awarded, together with an in memoriam award for the activist and feminist Núria Gispert.

The Saló de Cent of the Ajuntament de Barcelona (Barcelona City Hall) was the prestigious environment chosen by the International Foundation Olof Palme to celebrate its awards ceremony. Prof. Laura Lechuga, Group Leader of the ICN2 Nanobiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group, was awarded together with several figures of the national Health system: Yolanda Lejardi, Manager Director of the Institut Català de la Salut (Catalan Health Institute), Carmen Cabezas, Secretary of Health, and Gemma Craywinckel, Director of the Servei Català de Salut (Catalan Health Service). The ceremony also included an in memoriam award for the feminist and activist Núria Gispert.
