This postgraduate programme will form new professionals, providing them with innovation, leadership, communication and project management skills to design and implement educational initiatives that will enhance the learning of science and technology. Registration is now open.
The BIST Dolors Aleu Graduate Centre, in collaboration with the Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona and the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, has launched a new postgraduate course that aims to train science education professionals, who will be able to manage communication, dissemination and educational programmes in a variety of settings.
The course will provide the students with an overview of scientific education and with tools to develop ideas and transform them in science education projects. It also aims to equip the trainees with other relevant professional skills, such as teamwork, leadership, communication, and the use of digital tools. Hands-on activities are included as well, to give the students the opportunity to develop and implement real science education projects in leading institutions.
The course is designed for researchers who want to professionalize in the field of educational innovation and for teachers interested in specializing in science education. It will be held in semi-presential format and lessons will be provided mostly in Catalan, with a few sessions in Spanish and English. The programme will run from 30 September 2022 to 16 June 2023.
