Núria Benítez talks with Jakob Feldtfos Christensen about diversity in research institutes

Founder of the consultancy company DIVERSIunity, Jakob Feldtfos Christensen provided a training on how to include a diversity perspective into competitive projects. Núria Benítez from the ICN2 Strategy Development Area interviewed him about what diversity really means and why it is important and strategic for a research centre.

On 27 June 2022 the ICN2 held a training session offered by Jakob Feldtfos Christensen, founder of the consultancy company DIVERSIunity, on how to include a diversity and gender perspective into competitive project proposals. He was also invited to give a keynote talk during the III Event on Gender Equality organised by the Severo Ochoa - María de Maeztu alliance (SOMMa).

Feldtfos Christensen has extensive experience in research management and has funded DIVERSIunity with the objective of helping universities and research centre to create an inclusive environment in which everybody can thrive and perform at their best. Through consultancy, workshops and online courses, they provide advice and tools for allowing such diversity to flourish, as well as for harvesting it to strengthen research strategy on different levels of the organisation.

Núria Benítez, from the ICN2 Strategy Development Area, interviewed him after the training and a very fruitful discussion with members of the ICN2 community.
