Dr Sara Martí-Sánchez awarded the UAB Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in Materials Science 2019-2020
Former PhD student and currently postdoctoral fellow at the ICN2 in Prof. Jordi Arbiol’s group.
Dr Sara Martí-Sánchez developed her thesis work on “Growth mechanisms and properties of semiconductor nanowires at the atomic scale: From VLS to SAG quantum networks” in the ICN2 Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, led by ICREA Prof. Jordi Arbiol. This research earned her the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in Materials Science 2019-2020 of the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB).
The UAB Extraordinary Doctorate Prizes are awarded to graduate students across all the areas of the Doctoral Programme among all the theses defended in an academic year (one prize for every five theses), without the doctor being required to apply for it. Awardees are entitled to a refund of the fee they paid to apply for the degree and to a certificate.
