Prof. Monica Lira-Cantú is editor-in-chief of the newly launched ‘APL Energy’ journal
The new open access journal 'APL Energy' is now open for submissions and will start publishing in 2023.
APL Energy is a new open access journal from AIP Publishing that will feature research related to energy and its storage, conversion, sources, and materials. It will also examine renewability, sustainability, and the environmental impacts of energy technologies. Prof. Monica Lira-Cantú, head of the ICN2 Nanostructured Materials for Photovoltaic Energy Group, has been entrusted with the mandate of launching the magazine as editor-in-chief and leading it in its mission to disseminate energy-related research.
“I am thrilled to lead APL Energy and to join AIP Publishing. It is my objective that APL Energy becomes a top reference journal in applied energy, where groundbreaking research and technological innovation merge together,” explains Prof. Lira-Cantu. “We are in a very special moment in history: energy technologies are crucial to evade the dependence on fossil fuels. It is time to integrate different energy materials and technologies into simpler but more efficient systems.”
In addition to research articles reporting significant advances in the field, comprehensive reviews and perspective articles will also find place in the journal. APL Energy is now open for submissions and aims to start publishing in 2023.
