The platform of Spanish women scientists and innovators continues to grow

by Virginia Greco

'Científicas e Innovadoras' is a display and search engine for excellent female talent in Spain.

The platform dedicated to talented female scientists and innovators (Científicas e Innovadoras) of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation has been extended to include more than 230 Spanish women who stand out in their field at a national and international level. This initiative aims to recognise and highlight the talent and leadership of this extensive panel of women who, since 2011, have received awards or distinctions for their work.

This project of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, through its Women and Science Unit and in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), is the first compendium of its kind in Spain, as well as a powerful search engine for outstanding female researchers and innovators.

Among the profiles featured on the platform are a few excellent researchers who currently work at the ICN2: Prof. Laura Lechuga Gomez, Prof. Clivia Sotomayor Torres, Prof. María Escudero Escribano and Dr Sonia Ruiz Raga.
