Dr Emigdio Chávez joins the Young Editorial Board of “Materials Futures”

A postdoctoral researcher at the ICN2, Dr Chavez will initially cover this position for one year.

Dr Emigdio Chávez-Ángel, a postdoctoral researcher in the ICN2 Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy, has been elected to the Young Editorial Board of the IOP’s journal Materials Futures. This appointment, currently offered for one year, recognizes Dr Chavez's expertise in materials science and technology.

Materials Futures is an internationally recognized gold open access journal that covers a wide range of topics in the field of materials science and technology. The journal publishes original research, perspectives, reviews, and articles from various disciplines, aiming to explore both fundamental and applied aspects of materials science. The areas of interest include structural materials, energy materials, nanomaterials, biomaterials, quantum materials, information materials, and materials theories and computation. The journal focuses on materials with unique properties, such as mechanical strength, elasticity, and hardness, as well as materials for energy storage and conversion, nanoscale materials, bio-inspired materials, quantum materials, information technology materials, and computational modeling and prediction of materials properties.
