Today, the ICN2 celebrated its newest members with an Welcome Event, meticulously organized by the Human Resources team. This gathering was not just a formal introduction to the Institute but also an opportunity to inspire collective and individual excellence within the ICN2 community.
Julio Gómez, Head of the Human Resources Department, introduced the event and presented the Administration structure. This team with a broad skillset supports the main objective of the center, producing excellent science.
The event continued with an insightful presentation by Àlex Argemí from the Marketing, Communication, and Fundraising Department. Argemí emphasized the importance of utilizing the opportunities provided by the centre to shine both individually and collectively. Dr. Mary Cano, a Senior Researcher from the Supramolecular NanoChemistry and Materials Group, took the stage to outline the major research avenues of ICN2's 19 Groups. She highlighted the diversity and richness of the work carried out at the Institute, illustrating the broad spectrum of scientific inquiry pursued here.
Following Dr. Cano, Dr. Gustavo Ceballos, Head of the ICN2 Research Support Division and the Instrumentation Unit, detailed the scientific support services available at the Institute. He brought attention to facilities like the Biolab and new microscopes, and hinted at upcoming equipment additions that promise to enhance the centre's competitive edge.
