The event, organised by ICN2, will explore how nanoscience and nanotechnology can drive the sustainable development of urban scenarios beyond 2030.
The call for abstracts for the 2025 N4SNano Global Summit is now open, and submissions are accepted until January 31, 2025 at 23:59 UTC. This event will bring together experts from around the world to discuss, explore and communicate how nanoscience and nanotechnologies can contribute to the advancement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities, beyond 2030. The Global Summit is part of the initiatives organised by the Network for Sustainable Nanotechnology (N4SNano), which includes research centres from more than 13 countries, such as ICN2 or the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN), as well as several actors from industry and other fields.
The 2025 edition of this prestigious event will be held in Barcelona (Spain) from 16 to 18 June. Organised by ICN2, it will feature a scientific programme divided into thematic sessions covering several key areas:
- Clean and energy efficient transport
- Sustainable and efficient buildings
- Healthy cities
- Connected cities
- Policies
In addition to the conferences, the event will include poster sessions, panel discussions with leaders from different sectors (industry, academia, policymakers, etc.) and multiple networking opportunities. For the first time, the N4SNano Global Summit will be held in Europe. It will therefore be an excellent meeting point for experts and stakeholders in the field.
The deadline for submitting abstracts will be announced shortly. ICN2 invites all interested people to participate in this international forum for the exchange of ideas and the search for innovative solutions that will bring us closer to a more sustainable future.
