The new journal dedicated to high-quality research in “Frontiers in Coatings, Dyes and Interface Engineering” has been just launched and the Editorial Board put together.

The InCAEM project, an advanced materials research facility, was presented to the Catalan scientific community, highlighting ICN2's significant contributions. The facility aims to address scientific challenges of the European Green Deal and is expected to be operational by mid-2025.

Prof. Carles Miravitlles leaves a significant legacy in the scientific community. He was instrumental also in the creation of ICN2 and played a crucial role in advancing research in Catalonia. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, 19th April 2023, in Barcelona.

The field of nanolithography in Spain receives a major impulse thanks to the renewed funding of the NANOLITO network, which includes many research groups working in this field. Among the institutes involved is the ICN2, with Dr Marianna Sledzinska as representative.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) recently hosted international seminars featuring top-level representatives from the ICN2, showcasing ICN2's leading role in the Graphene Flagship. The event included two seminars focused on marrying artificial intelligence with linear scaling quantum simulations, ab-initio electrochemistry, and the translation of advanced functional technologies in the context of the Singapore–EU Graphene Flagship workshop held last week.
