Researchers from ICN2 Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures Group publish in Scientific Reports findings providing the basis for new electromechanical designs using 2D-nanocellulose. In a longer-term perspective, the reinterpretation of electrical features for hydrogen bonds here introduced could pave the way in the understanding of life-essential molecules and events.

The Physics Awards are organised yearly by Real Sociedad Española de Física (RSEF) and Fundación BBVA. Prof. Laura M. Lechuga, Group Leader at ICN2, will receive the Physics, Innovation and Technology RSEF-FBBVA 2016 Award in a ceremony to be held in Madrid next December.

Four women and nine men from different scientific fields received the “official T-shirt” of the Selección Española de la Ciencia (Spanish National Science Team) in a gala organised by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Quo magazine.
