Severo Ochoa Programme 2014-2018 Interdisciplinary Platforms

For the purposes of the Severo Ochoa programme, a further four areas of work were identified for the development of research that supports the three application areas: Theory and Simulation, Nanomaterials Growth, Nanofabrication, and Characterisation and Metrology.

These work packages address specific challenges across the three application areas, also producing highly relevant knowledge in their own right and developing new experimental and theoretical methodologies, materials and processes for the manufacture of novel nanostructures. They have also proved to be great enablers of internal collaboration, bringing together ICN2 members from different areas of technical expertise and scientific disciplines.
