ICN2 Researcher Dr Emigdio Chávez Receives the Outstanding Youth Editorial Board Member Award from the Journal Materials Futures
The journal recognises his excellent work as a member of the editorial board over the past year.
Recently, Dr Emigdio Chávez-Angel, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy Group (AMS), was recognised as an Outstanding Youth Editorial Board Member by Materials Futures, one of the most important journals in materials science.
Materials Futures is an internationally recognized Gold Open Access journal that covers a broad range of topics in materials science and technology. It aims to publish research on both fundamental and applied aspects of the field. Furthermore, this year, the journal received its first (half) Impact Factor: 12, JCR Q1, Multidisciplinary Materials, ranking it as one of the highest-impact new journals in materials science.
As mentioned earlier, Dr Chávez-Angel works with the AMS group at ICN2, led by ICREA Prof. Aitor Mugarza. This experimental research group studies the electronic and magnetic properties of matter at the nanoscale and develops strategies to manipulate them with atomic precision.
At ICN2, we celebrate and congratulate Dr Emigdio Chávez-Angel on his outstanding achievements and contributions to the field.
