Dr Marc Botifoll was one of the young scientists selected to participate in this renowned event, attended by 37 Nobel Laureates.

The 73rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting was held from 30 June to 5 July 2024 in Lindau, Germany, along the shores of Lake Constance. This renowned annual event gathered approximately 650 young scientists worldwide and was attended by numerous Nobel Laureates. In this year's edition, physics was at the core of the event. The main objective was to promote dialogue among researchers across different generations, cultures, and fields.

This year, ICN2 was represented by Dr Marc Botifoll, a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Advanced Electron Nanoscopy Group, led by ICREA Prof. Jordi Arbiol. He had the privilege of being one of the scientists selected by the selection committee of this prestigious event.

Throughout the meeting, participants had the unique opportunity to interact with some of the most prominent names in physics, exchange ideas, collaborate on projects, and make valuable connections for the future of science. They were able to attend and participate in various conferences, round tables, and discussion sessions.

The scientific programme of this edition focused on three main topics:

  • Quantum Physics and Quantum Technologies
  • Physics-based solutions to the energy challenge
  • Artificial Intelligence in Physics
