This European Project, led by the Technical University of Denmark and with ICN2 as one of its partners through Dr. Nikos Kehagias and ICREA Prof. Dr. Clivia Sotomayor-Torres, developed a technology that works by enhancing the lateral resolution on free-form surfaces down to micro- and nanometer length scales. Its findings are summarized in a beautiful video.

ICN2 participated in the event with various speakers, an institutional stand and the coordination role of ICREA Prof Stephan Roche. This one day event was held in Zaragoza and aimed at presenting graphene-based materials and devices and its industrial challenges and opportunities.

2D EDGE, led by young entrepreneurs from ICN2, ICMAB and UAB, is the winning project in the fourth edition of the UAB Research Park Generating Ideas Programme. The second prize goes to the project OISensing, also linked to ICN2, and third prize to Smart Coding Tech.

Five companies from the UAB Research Park network have been selected and will receive funding for their projects with a total of 272,245 euros. Applied Nanoparticles was gestated from the research led by the ICREA Research Prof. Victor Puntes, Group Leader of the ICN2 Inorganic Nanoparticles Group. The objective of this grant is to fund a business feasibility study.
