Dr José Manuel de Cruz Sánchez wins a CERCA Pioneer Award 2022 for his doctoral thesis
He carried our research on graphene-based devices for cell bioelectronics at the ICN2 in the Advanced Electronics Materials and Device Group. The prize was awarded on December 22.

Disruptive solutions to achieve the energy transition discussed at the Innovation Day – Energy 2022 in Barcelona
The Clúster de l'Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC), the Xarxa R+D+I Energy for Society (XRE4S) and Endesa held the Innovation Day – Energy 2022, an event to discuss and analyse disruptive and innovative solutions in the energy sector, with a special focus on sustainability and energy transition. It was attended by nearly 200 representatives from the energy sector.

The spinoff INBRAIN Neuroelectronics receives new funding by the EC via the EIC Accelerator
A highly competitive process led to successful recommendation by the European Commission to provide up to 15M€ investment in INBRAIN Neuroelectronics. Funding will be used to support the development of the world’s first graphene intelligent brain network platform towards commercialization.
