La Vanguardia explores the materials that are shaping the future

The Spanish newspaper devotes two full pages to explain how nanotechnology is shaping materials at the nanoscale for multiple applications. Among experts from other centers, four ICN2 Group Leaders share their research with an impact in fields such as energy, flexible circuits and biomedicine.

Holey graphene from the bottom up highlighted in Nano Today

The journal just published a news item detailing the advance led by ICN2 researchers from the ICN2 Atomic Manipulation and Spectroscopy Group in the context of a a national research collaboration. The results were originally published in Sciece with Dr César Moreno and ICREA Prof. Aitor Mugarza as first and last authors, respectively.

A recent work led by the ICN2 is featured in this prestigious magazine for its significance in the field of electronics. The groundbreaking production of an atomically precise nanoporous graphene complete with energy bandgap is the result of a collaboration between the ICN2, CiQUS and DIPC.

FLEXPOL Project highlighted by Inspira Biotech

The project aims to develop a pilot line for the production of a cost effective antimicrobial adhesive film for its use in hospitals. The ICN2 brings to the initiative fabrication techniques for hierarchical topographies based on micro- and nanofeatures as well as a patent for an in-line non-invasive measurement system used to inspect the quality of the continuously produced film materials.
