CO2 incubator Function line BB16

The CO₂ incubator Function line BB16 is used for the cultivation of cell and tissue cultures and simulates the physiological environment of these cultures. The unit provides an environment with controlled temperature, CO₂ and elevated humidity.

General features

The test chamber atmosphere can be regulated with respect to its temperature and CO₂ concentration. The evaporation of water from the water reservoir creates a high and constant relative humidity.

• The inner casing and fittings are made of copper.
• Heating: The temperature of the work chamber can be regulated within a range starting at +6°C above room temperature up to 50°C.
• Gas supply: The CO₂ saturation of the atmosphere in the work chamber can be regulated within the range of 0 % to 20 %.
• A stainless steel fan wheel circulates and mixes the test chamber atmosphere.
• Humidification: The atmosphere in the work chamber is humidified through the evaporation of water held in a basin at the bottom of the inner casing. A relative humidity of up to 95 % can be reached, depending on the temperature existing in the work chamber.
