During the first day of the forum plenty of panel discussions, outreach seminars and talks by first level representatives of the different centers took place. CSIC Prof. Pedro Gómez-Romero, Group Leader at ICN2 and science disseminator, underlined that for an effective dissemination of science it is important that we all enjoy during the process.

Investigación y Ciencia is a magazine devoted to science dissemination. In its latest issue it includes a thoughtful discussion about the future of science teaching. ICN2 appears among the four pictures illustrating the article, showing one of the ESCOLAB visits to the laboratory of the ICN2 Inorganic Nanoparticles Group.

ICN2 was one of the research centres collaborating in the “Programa de suport a la realització de treballs de recerca d’alumnat de batxillerat en col·laboració amb personal investigador d’entitats de recerca" selected by the students to develop their research work. The program is led by the “Departament d'Ensenyament de la Generalitat·”

The 100xCiencia encounter will summit in La Palma (October 7-8) outstanding journalists and scientists. The event will explain the science carried out by the main centres of R&D in Spain, those accredited with the Severo Ochoa Excellence award, and will establish a debate with communicators and journalists about how to communicate and to popularize their scientific activity.

Eight students have developed their 2015 Joves i Ciencia Program projects at the ICN2 with the collaboration of eight of our researchers. In a two-week program, funded by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, the pre-university students got in touch with real nanoscience and nanotechnology research.
