About 90 High School teachers attended the event on July the 7th and they were introduced to the nanoworld. The organizing committee formed by ICN2, UB, UAB and CESIRE explained the different steps of the program and gave some tools and resources to communicate nanoscience. ICREA Prof Victor Puntes gave a talk about the state-of-the art of nanomaterials.

About 20 students from the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology module of the Summer Campus on Science and Technology visited the ICN2 on July the 1st. The Campus is organized by Consorci d’Educació in collaboration with Ajuntament de Barcelona and different Catalan universities and entities.

On May 6 ICN2 was among the almost 100 companies and research Institutes that interacted with students looking after their future. The Human resources and Education Department, together with the Marketing and Communication Department, organized the ICN2 expedition and materials.

El Temps magazine is holding a contest to choose the best proposal of citizen science project. DIY BIO BCN, of which ICN2 researcher Daniel Grajales is a member, participates with the project BIOSTRIKE Open Antibiotics Discovery. The winner will be chosen by an open vote.

El Mundo Innovadores and a wide range of online media covered the latest article published at ACS Nano by the the Phononic and Photonic Nanostructures (P2N) Group, led by ICREA Research Prof. Clivia Sotomayor-Torres. The work is an international effort developed within the European Project MERGING.
