Highlights

  • New Units

    Two new units, supporting the institute’s management, have been created:

    • Strategy Development: this unit is responsible for the design and implementation of the ICN2 Strategic Plan. It also prepares and coordinates institutional projects, searches for funding opportunities and fosters collaborations of the centre with public and private institutions.
    • Business and Innovation: the mission of this unit is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technologies from the ICN2 to the industry and the market. Technologies with commercial potential are identified and protected with specific IP strategies. Collaboration opportunities with companies are explored and supported, as well as the creation of spin-offs.

  • Nanoscience against COVID-19

    Our Institute has responded swiftly to the COVID-19 pandemic by redirecting funds and efforts to contribute to the fight against this desease. New research projects related to the diagnosis of COVID-19 are being supported throw the Severo Ochoa Programme.
